For years, the traditional jobs/skills has formed the culture, lifestyle and created collective memories of a society. But in the present day, many of them are slowly fading away from the people attention. Either they are struggling at the edge of the inheritance and disappearance, or has long been thrown into the corner of the history. Thus, it is not surprising that younger generation never know and value their existence. Consequently, this has widen the gap in between generation.
In this project, art as the tools to retrace the steps of these treasurers and transform them to something sensible and perceptible, and vibrate society again. It intends to understand and appreciate the profession of these jobs/skills and the current situation of upheaval. We are less interested in a nostalgic view but we will more focus on the rediscovery and recycle those invaluable memories created, and to reuse the essences which get our emotion involved and our imagination stimulated, to create an event that can reduce the human conflicts and social isolations.
Here, we would like to undertake 3 different traditional jobs/skills and have a full length dance presentations at the end to see how these beautiful stories will be reenacted and transformed into personalised vocabulary of movements as well as powerful moments. The whole project will be filmed, recorded and become a documentary-production, or video and projections as a part of the performance and used in/out of Malaysia.

In Malaysia, artists are barely surviving financially, with no or low pay the norm. However, we still passionate about what we are doing. We trust this project could be significant to our community and audiences as well as our personal development. With your kind generosity, part of the sum that we raise will go toward support little of living wage and trainning cost of our amazing artists.
